Often times when I gather a new nest there will be leaves and tiny collected bits and pieces left behind in the little bowl like sculptures!   I have always enjoyed painting houses so it makes sense I would enjoy painting these temporary residences!

As an artist, I am always looking for contrast; shadows give me what I am looking for! In addition to loving this old structure, the play of light is a painters dream! The inspiration for "Morning Shadows" came from childhood experiences such as playing in the midst of a huge field of grass, lying on the ground making images out of clouds, and trees awash with color in the autumn of the year.
