While on a plein air painting outing, I was searching for a subject that had depth and contrast. This bank of color, the lily pads floating on the water,  and the reflections did "It" for me! Lindenberg Lake II, an oil landscape painting of a North Carolina lake was begun en plein air and completed in my studio. The painting is gallery wrapped so it doesn't require framing!

"Olmsted Path" is an oil landscape painting inspired by photographs taken at "Olmsted Linear Park Plein Air Paint Out, 2015. The series of 5 parks stretching along tree lined streets are a welcoming place to sit and reflect on the events of the day. I had the pleasure of painting in two of the parks this summer. This oil landscape painting is beautifully accented by a custom frame.

Castello Banfi is an Italian wine estate of 7,100 acres planted just 20 years ago. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining there on a trip to the Tuscany region of Italy. It's acreage is massive and lush, offering me easy visualization of this painting. Always enticed by old stone structures, I set to work to give you an idea of what you are missing by not traveling to Italy!

While riding on the streets of Rome, Italy, I spotted the blazing color of the tree , and the colorful flag flying outside what may have been a bedroom window. This is the way many Roman city residents have their being. Something makes me think that inside these walls there is celebration, laughter, and good food to be enjoyed! Tuscan Skies are much like our Georgia skies but with a view like no other! Villa Fontelunga is a dream of a place to spend afternoons at the end of a day trip to Florence, Italy! I choose this particular view of the Tuscan landscape overlooking the cabana where we spent several evenings by the crackling fire, enjoying comraderie and delicious Italian wines.
