Paintings of Italy, Italian Landscape,Watercolor "Castello Banfi" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

Castello Banfi is an Italian wine estate of 7,100 acres planted just 20 years ago. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining there on a trip to the Tuscany region of Italy. It's acreage is massive and lush, offering me easy visualization of this painting. Always enticed by old stone structures, I set to work to give you an idea of what you are missing by not traveling to Italy!

Italian Architecture, Watercolor Landscape,Italy "Flag of Italy I" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

While riding on the streets of Rome, Italy, I spotted the blazing color of the tree , and the colorful flag flying outside what may have been a bedroom window. This is the way many Roman city residents have their being. Something makes me think that inside these walls there is celebration, laughter, and good food to be enjoyed! What story do you hear being told in this watercolor painting?

Georgia Landscape, House,Porch Painting,"Morning Shadows" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

As an artist, I am always looking for contrast; shadows give me what I am looking for! In addition to loving this old structure, the play of light is a painters dream! The inspiration for "Morning Shadows" came from childhood experiences such as playing in the midst of a huge field of grass, lying on the ground making images out of clouds, and trees awash with color in the autumn of the year. This watercolor painting on paper is double matted and beautifully custom framed!

Oil Landscape, Barn Painting "Going Home" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

Having been born in the North Carolina mountains , I get a familiar feeling when I see a barn in the distance. Barns aren't often seen in the city landscape these days, however if you are in the countryside of any state you see the finest displays of this type of structure. As kids growing up in the mountains, the perfect vehicle to travel this type of road surface is a truck. Some of the most fun I ever had were the summer hayrides in the back of a pickup truck! " Going Home", a landscape in oil, is reminiscent of my country childhood experiences!

Original Female Portrait Oil Painting "Charm and Grace" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

Charm and Grace are desirable qualities in the female. While some men prefer a gutsy, modern type woman, it is my feeling when a woman with gentle qualities enters a room, men take notice. Mind you these coveted qualities are present in men as well! My oil painting is a depiction of what charm and grace might look like!

"Counterbalance" Original Still Life Floral Painting, Calla Lilly, by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

When I created the still life of calla lilies in my art studio, I was pleased with the arrangement of the lilies but knew I had to have some feature in the acrylic painting to counterbalance the natural orientation of flowers whose stem is unable to hold them upright! The yellow satin ribbon adds to the playfulness of the arrangement!
