Plein Air painting uses all the artists skills as she sets up an easel outside and finds the most exciting patterns of light and color that are surrounding her. There are many decisions to be made before the paint touches the canvas! My decision to have my subject backlit and the time of day I was viewing my subject determined my palette of colors to be used in " Plein Air on Azalea Drive".
