Social distancing hasn't been difficult for me knowing that it seems to be the best way to curtail the spread of COVID-19. Recently, or my own amusement, I let my brush take off in the direction it wanted to go and as a result, "Social Distancing", a black and white acrylic abstract painting appeared. I like it a lot!

"Struttin Around The Hen House" is an oil painting inspired by my photographs of the chicken coup in an area where my daughter lives. The chickens have been built a great looking hen house to live in! You can see their coup in the watercolor painting titled "Busy Bodies" on this site. I had convinced a good artist friend to go to the Chattahoochee Riverbank to paint late one evening last week! It was a mild summer evening, so here we go with easel, backpack, and tripod in hand! We had a wonderful time painting beside the water looking out at these reflections and imagining how we were ever going to describe the many beautiful colors in the water! My interpretation of the events is this small landscape oil painting named appropriately " Riverbank Reflections" .

Brugge Architecture, Window Box, Flowers "A Sneak Peek" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

"A Sneak Peek", an oil painting of geraniums is inspired by a photo I took and by a view from my studio window. The painting is so named because I had snuck or sneaked over to my neighbor's driveway recently to get closer to this beautiful pot of geraniums! Lo and Behold, my neighbor returns home and finds me there in her driveway. We had a good laugh and I returned home so happy with my photographs!
