Original Female Figurative Oil Painting "White Linen" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

Who can resist the allure of white linen fabric! Linen has been traditionally used to make bedding, bath, and lightweight undergarments. The warm natural light falls across the front of her body onto the bed linens and pillows. When viewing this oil painting try to imagine what the woman must be thinking as she rests on the beautiful iron bed.

"Counterbalance" Original Still Life Floral Painting, Calla Lilly, by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

When I created the still life of calla lilies in my art studio, I was pleased with the arrangement of the lilies but knew I had to have some feature in the acrylic painting to counterbalance the natural orientation of flowers whose stem is unable to hold them upright! The yellow satin ribbon adds to the playfulness of the arrangement!

Contemporary Abstract Expressionism Painting "Two Thirty A.M." by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

FRESH OFF THE EASEL

Once in a while I will awake in the middle of the night with an idea for a painting! As I lay there, I plan the feeling I hope to convey to the viewer! "Two Thirty AM" is the name of this large acrylic abstract on gallery wrapped canvas. It was a pleasure working on this piece as I had just completed a few weeks of small paintings in which there was quite a bit of detail. I worked all night into the next day on the first layer of the painting, completing it the next week. "Two Thirty AM" can be rotated in either direction giving the viewer additional moods of the same work! I plan more of these works so I may be losing some sleep!
