Comaraderie is about relationship between old friends in Italy. Spending the afternoon beneath the trees, watching passerbys is not often enjoyed by most U.S. citizens. Because I was charmed by witnessed these men's sharing of their time, I wanted to record the momment in a watercolor painting.

While riding on the streets of Rome, Italy, I spotted the blazing color of the tree , and the colorful flag flying outside what may have been a bedroom window. This is the way many Roman city residents have their being. Something makes me think that inside these walls there is celebration, laughter, and good food to be enjoyed! "Castello Banfi" Original Water Color Landscape Painting by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

Castello Banfi is an Italian wine estate of 7,100 acres planted just 20 years ago. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining there on a trip to the Tuscany region of Italy. It's acreage is massive and lush, offering me easy visualization of this painting. Always enticed by old stone structures, I set to work to give you an idea of what you are missing by not traveling to Italy!
