I never tire of painting the Eiffel Tower. The image of this architectural wonder is locked in my memories of the beautiful city of Paris, France. "Glorious Eiffel", an oil Parisian landscape is my impression of the tower on a clear night in August. Looking out over the city of Paris from the top of the Eiffel is another experience I won't forget.

Isle of Hope is one of the most beautiful areas of Savannah , Ga.

On a recent visit, I stepped onto a dock taking in the view of boats and their reflections on the water.

"A View of Hope" is a boat/water landscape painting seen through my eyes at that moment.

I used a brush and palette knife to create texture in this painting.

Maritime Painting With Fishing Boat Dock Water "Gay Fish Company II" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

I have visited The Gay Fish Company to purchase their delicious fresh catch on several occasions. I have also photographed the shrimp boats more than once for reference for paintings of this quaint seaside dock. Not to mention that scenes from the famous movie, " Forest Gump" were filmed there at the end of the boat dock. 
The silvery sky and curving dock were an inspiration for the painting!
