"Going Home" Original Oil Landscape, Barn Painting by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

Having been born in the North Carolina mountains , I get a familiar feeling when I see a barn in the distance. Barns aren't often seen in the city landscape these days, however if you are in the countryside of any state you see the finest displays of this type of structure. As kids growing up in the mountains, the perfect vehicle to travel this type of road surface is a truck. Some of the most fun I ever had were the summer hayrides in the back of a pickup truck! " Going Home", a landscape in oil, is reminiscent of my country childhood experiences!

Coastal Landscape, Georgia Coast Art "Beach House" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

This architectural watercolor painting was commissioned by a gentleman who loves art and own paintings of both his homes! My goal in this painting was to not only please the collector, but to also capture the heat and quality of light in the area where the beach home is located. Having a painting of a place where you do life is very satisfying!

"Let's Take A Walk" Original Georgia Landscape Oil Painting by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

Recently, I painted with a nationally known oil painter in the mountains of north Georgia, my home state. The weather was gloomy in the mornings but the sun came out in the late afternoon to light this delightful dirt path whose shadows caught my eye. Let's Take A Walk, a small oil landscape painting is a result of this long winding path with a distant range of mountains!

"Glorious Tuscany" Original Italian Landscape Painting by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

When painting this oil painting and thinking of Italy, all my reflections seem to evoke the same memories! The quality of the light, the air, the landscape, the foliage, the architecture....... all are glorious! Picture yourself walking down a narrow unpaved road and suddenly this scene appears in the landscape nearby! Unforgettable!

"An Eye For It" Original Acrylic Abstract Painting by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

My inspiration for An Eye For It came from my head as I thought about large looping shapes interlocking on the canvas. After completion, the shapes I have created in the acrylic painting remind me of eyes and the colors are harmonious!

"Un Named" In Progress, Tree, Landscape Painting by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

"Unnamed" is a title chosen for this "in progress" landscape oil painting. I am working on values and decided to complete this work entirely in neutral greys and browns for an earthy feeling in the painting! It has turned out to be quite a challenge but I love a challenge!! Please return to this site to see the finished painting!

"Counterbalance" Original Still Life Floral Painting, Calla Lilly, by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

When I created the still life of calla lilies in my art studio, I was pleased with the arrangement of the lilies but knew I had to have some feature in the acrylic painting to counterbalance the natural orientation of flowers whose stem is unable to hold them upright! The yellow satin ribbon adds to the playfulness of the arrangement!
