Springdale Park is one of string of 6 parks in the Atlanta area designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. I enjoy occasionally paint there with a plein air group. Springdale Park is a plein air painting that I put the finishing touches on in my studio.
Our back yard is quite a bird sanctuary! Watching them criss cross from tree to bird feeder is my favorite morning past time! Posing, a wildlife watercolor painting is inspired by a photo of an Eastern Blue Bird that I was able to get!
"Struttin Around The Hen House" is an oil painting inspired by my photographs of the chicken coup in an area where my daughter lives. The chickens have been built a great looking hen house to live in! You can see their coup in the watercolor painting titled "Busy Bodies" on this site. The oil painting is painted around the gallery wrapped sides so it isn't necessary to add a frame. Deanna's Custom Designed frames are available for purchase if you wish to add a beautiful frame to the painting!
Castello Banfi is an Italian wine estate of 7,100 acres planted just 20 years ago. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining there on a trip to the Tuscany region of Italy. It's acreage is massive and lush, offering me easy visualization of this painting. Always enticed by old stone structures, I set to work to give you an idea of what you are missing by not traveling to Italy!
