"Joy in The Morning" Original Georgia Landscape With Barn Oil Painting by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

On a recent plein air painting excursion to Smith Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw, Georgia, I chose the site of the entrance to their vegetable garden! The small barn structure was lit by the bright morning sun beckoning me to paint it!!. I stood there in the grass getting in as much information on the canvas before the sun moved overhead altering the areas in shadow and sunlight. Back in my studio, I completed the oil landscape painting done in an impressionistic style that tells you that it is a Deanna Jaugstetter painting ! I am happy with my landscape oil painting and hope you enjoy it , too!

Roses Are Red, and Violet, Too! Still Life Flower Painting by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

There are times that an artist must accept the fact that a painting is not ready for prime time viewing! "Roses Are Red and Violet,Too" is a Stilllife painting that I began almost a year ago but was never completely satisfied with. The painting has remained in the busiest area of my studio until one day last week I was prompted to submit this painting for a local exhibit. After much thought, I began to rework the painting! "Roses Are Red and Violet, Too", an acrylic floral painting, was juried into the exhibit so I spent my time well!

"Woodland Breeze", a landscape oil painting is inspired by a photograph which I took in Charleston, South Carolina of the part near an area called The Battery. The huge old oak trees are planted in ordered rows as the light filters through the thick branches. Charleston continues to be one of my favorite cities to visit.
