Calcatta is a medieval village north of Rome in Lazio, Italy. It is an artist's commune. As my travel companions walked up the stone path into the village there was beautiful music being played in a small church. This unexpected welcome was straight out of a novel! We, visitors
would never have known of this Italian village perched on a cliff high above a river valley without a prior search from one of our group. You would enjoy learning of the history of this magnificent historic village.
