The French word for sunflower is "tournesol", which means "turns with the sun". Can't you see it happening here in my oil landscape painting of the warm yellow petals ! When summer arrives I imagine myself walking along narrow roads in Tuscany, Itlay, enjoying the sunflower fields. I became taken with these large blooms while there. .
